Jim Sovine

Jim grew up in Hurricane, WV in a family with 3 siblings and parents that made sure they were in church every Sunday and Wednesday night. When Jim was 10, he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior on Easter Sunday.

His undergraduate studies in education were completed at Concord University, followed by a Masters degree from West Virginia University.  Jim began his career as an elementary school teacher prior to being hired by IBM, and then Lenovo, where he held several management positions while living in WV, SC, FL, MD and NC. Jim and his wife Jane have been married 43 years and have a daughter, Holly, who lives in Cary. 

While in Florida, Jim and Jane had the honor of helping plant a church in west Boca Raton, Boca Glades Baptist Church. There he served as a deacon and teacher at that church,  as well as three other churches through the past 35 years. Jim loves teaching the Bible, studying the Word, and serving alongside the other members of TFC to reach our very diverse population in Morrisville.

Jim feels blessed to be a part of TFC and considers it an honor and humbling to serve as an elder.  He knows God is using our church to impact our town and is excited to see what plans He has for us in the future.
